How long does it take to chill?

The IceBox Chiller typically takes 20 min - 12 hours to reach your desired temperature, depending on the starting temperature and volume of the water. In ambient temperatures above 80°F, it may take longer to chill. It is designed to be run continuously, so the temperature will be maintained 24/7 once reached.

What's the lowest temperature the Chiller can achieve?

The IceBox Chiller can cool water down to 39-49°F depending on the volume of the tub and temperature of the surrounding environment. In extremely hot environments, the Chiller may take 1-2 days to get the water down to temp. Once lowered, the Chiller will maintain this temperature as long as it is on.

 

Studies show the optimal temperature for ice baths is 50-59°F, and do not show any additional benefits below this range.

How many gallons can the Chiller handle?

The chiller is designed for use with water volumes up to 80 gallons. If used with larger volumes, cooling efficiency may be reduced.

Can the Chiller run 24/7?

Can the Chiller run in hot weather?
